Double stained baby quail. The blue cartilage is vibrant, highlighting the throat and between each vertebrae in the spine. Its large dark eyes contrast the clarity of the tissues and vibrancy of the skeleton.

Diaphanized specimens can take 6-8 weeks from date of order to arrive.

What is diaphanization? The process the makes muscles and tissues transparent. Special stains target regions of the skeleton - blue for the cartilage and red, purple or pink for  bones.
