Well preserved

We have been using Biology Products for preserved specimens for years now. The quality is good and the prices are reasonable.

Great specimens for the limited budget school lab.

I use these sheep hearts for a middle school lab. The students love handling the hearts, finding the vessels going into and out of the heart, and especially cutting it in half and looking inside at the chambers, valves and muscle. These sheep hearts are very affordable for any school lab. They lack some of the nicer additions, like colored vessels, extended aorta, etc., but they work very well if you know just a little bit about the heart.

Well preserved, but smaller than expected

I appreciated that these in general had the larger vesseles still attached. However, they were a lot smaller in previous years, making it difficult to trace the direction of the vessels with a probe or a colored pencil.

Sheep heart

A beautiful specimen.

Sheep's heart: they'll do

Could be cut better on the superior aspect of the hearts to make vessels longer and easier to find. Some vessels were missing altogether. Besides that, these work great for a high school level advanced biology: anatomy and physiology dissection. Great price, shipping, and customer service.
