The horseshoe crab was much larger than expected. I thought it was to be 2" to 7" long but I was mistaken. It was 7" in diameter and came in a long package. It was very nice.

I was a bit surprised that they came rather "wet". I had not ordered them before and only had handled the dry ones that our biology department had for years. Once they dried out in our green house for a few days, they were fine.

The "ALIEN CRAB" documentary film made me see how important the Horseshoe crab is to the United States.

The one I did have an issue with was replaced or refunded immediately. It did not have a tail. This company is great to work with.

I purchased this horseshoe crab after a student used the organism in a presentation on evolution and animal behavior. Since I teach in a landlocked state, where most of my students have never seen a horseshoe crab in the wild (or the ocean for that matter), I felt that bringing a specimen into the classroom would be a great way to connect.
