Description

Offer hands-on learning that helps students truly understand amphibian anatomy and biology concepts in ways a textbook alone can’t. Benefits of a bullfrog dissection:

  • Clear View of Organ Systems – Bullfrogs are large enough to easily see major organs like the heart, lungs, liver, and digestive system, making identification easier for beginners.

  • Amphibian Anatomy & Adaptations – Students can study how bullfrogs are adapted for life both in water and on land, including specialized muscles, lungs, and skin.

  • Comparative Anatomy – Bullfrogs share many anatomical similarities with other vertebrates, so students can compare them to fish, mammals, or birds to see evolutionary relationships.

  • Engaged Learning – Hands-on activities like dissection improve memory retention and keep students actively involved in the lesson.

Choose the Injection needed for your dissection lab:

  • Plain - No Injection
  • Single - Red latex injected into the arterial system
  • Double - Red latex injected into the arterial system as well as blue latex injected into the venous system
  • Triple - Red latex injected into the arterial system, blue latex injected into the venous system, as well as yellow latex injected into the hepatic portal system

*Please note this item is preserved for educational display or dissection use. Product is not alive nor is it edible.

Will Certainly Order Again Next Year!

All frogs are in great condition and the shipping window provided was very accurate! They were larger than I expected - the measurements pertain to the body (not including the limbs). Thank you! The students thoroughly enjoyed this.

Quite a few of them had food in their mouth that led to the glottis, and a couple of them had the stomach so full that went up the esophagus and ended up in the mouth as well. There were a few females with a lot of eggs and oviducts that took a long time to clear out but that made for an awesome experience!

Great Condition

4.75/5 (won't let me give portions of stars). Great condition, well packaged and ready to go. We appreciated that the staff was so helpful in ensuring delivery by the correct date. Only disappointment was that there were no stomach contents in any of the frogs. From previous experience, there have been a few frogs in each batch with something in the stomach to examine.
