A beautifully detailed model of the eye. The eyeball is approximately 3 times life size and is horizontally sectioned to show all six muscles of the eye. The optic nerve is shown up to where it enters the base of the skull.
Separates into 9 parts:
- superior rectus muscle
- exterior straight muscle
- upper half of the sclerotic membrane
- choroid membrane and retina (2)
- vitreous humour
- lens
- lacrimal organs and eyelids
- orbit
Mounted on a base.
