Fetal pigs for dissection
Posted by J.A.Hechavarria on May 8th 2023
The pigs were good size, well developed and easy to work with for the students. Organs were distinguishable and both the thoracic and abdominal cavities were easily accessible. The odor was not overwhelming, only one student in the entire class complained of any problems stemming from the odor of the preservative solution. Fluid build - up in the thoracic and abdominal cavities was easy to aspirate and remove. I noticed some of the dye used to mark arteries and veins had spilled inside the cavities of a couple of the pigs, only a minor inconvenience but you may want to double check your infusion pressures. Overall, a great learning experience for the kids and a good product. Thank you.

Pig Dissection
Posted by L.H. on Nov 10th 2020
My kids were quite happy with the pig we got for their science dissection. We had previously ordered from a different company, and they had been unable to use their previous purchase for their science. This pig dissection kit was wonderful, and we plan to order their other dissection kits for their science this year.

Fetal Pig Review
Posted by Unknown on May 27th 2017
Pigs were as specified and worked very well. Delivery was prompt, within a week or so. They were a little bigger and more fully developed than pigs I had used from other providers. They were a little more fluid collecting in thoracic cavity than anticipated. But this was easily fixed with a quick draining. Some students complained of eye irritation due to preservative fluid, but I didn't notice any irritation with myself and the majority of the class.
