1. Engaging!

   I like to use dissecting as a venue for my 5th and 6th grade students to explore uninhibited by dictates from the teacher. My hope is to allow them to explore and get use to dissecting before they reach the upper grades where more is expected of them and their grade is can affect their grade point average.
   
   This was the first year that I bought from this company. These sharks were great. Even my most reluctant students became involved. Three of our sharks (out of 15) had baby sharks. We were not expecting (pun intended) that. In fact one shark had 3 babies. That little event really spurred my students on. I will definitely buy from Biology Products again.
   
   For our purposes these sharks were on point.

   I'm the homeschool parent of a student who is taking an online class on sharks, and this product was recommended for our class. It came quickly, just as advertised, and it was an excellent specimen for a very affordable price.

   

5. Better Than I Expected

   Homeschool mom here, who teaches biology labs to homeschoolers. These sharks were first, very affordable. I was able to purchase six sharks and pay a very small fee, which is what I was looking for, but it was better than that...I received sharks in very good condition. Everything was intact and was perfect for our shark dissection. This was for a total of three classes. They even gave me what I asked for, two female sharks and the rest male. Wow! I was impressed. Each group was able to clearly identify the internal anatomy with no problem. I will definitely purchase again. Thank you for making my class a successful one.

   

6. Good size, no problems

   HS Bio class loved these. Sharks were a good size (have large trays available.). One was even pregnant. They kept well over 3 days opened. We just covered them & the tray in large trash bags. Smell is stronger than most just because of the added fishy component along WITH the preservative. The rest of the school sure knew what we were up to, but it just excited the kids that haven't yet taken the class.
   Only criticism would be to allow the ability to add requests. We only had 1 female out of the enire lot. I was getting worried we'd have nothing to compare. Luckily we found one, and like I said, she was pregnant. It would've been nicer to not have to go through that slight panic by requesting 1/2 male/female.

   

7. Great for elementary dissection

   Great shark for an elementary dissection. The spines on the dorsal fins was removed and tail was cut but most of the external and internal anatomy was intact enough to explore the external and internal parts of the shark.

9. Economy Sharks are well worth the cost.

   Every year I like for my Zoology class to do a series of dissections to compare anatomy of different organisms. At the end of the semester funds are running low and the economy sharks fit the bill. Students get an excellent chance to dissect a larger animal and the parts are large and easy to identify. We have ordered these for the last 3 years, twice a year and they are always consistently good samples.
